The Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI for short) is an academic institution that reaches back nearly a half of century. Over the decades, FOI has been providing higher education to future experts in the field of ICT. It’s mission is to encourage, organize and execute applied projects and transfer the newly discovered knowledge to the society.
Mo is not short for something cow says, it is rather something more advanced. Mobile technologies, something that is involved in almost every aspect of our lives. Mobile development is the construction technology of last decade, it produces marvellous applications and games that we all enjoy on a daily basis. Unlike cows that produce milk.
Embedded development merges an old technology that flourished in mid 80’s with the latest and greatest in software engineering. Platforms like Arduino bridge gap between low-level development and high-level programming technologies and bring affordable and easy to set-up embedded devices to everyone.
Presentations will be 40 minutes long, followed by a discussion. f-moed is a three day event taking place during the CECIIS conference. All presentations will be taking place in Room 7 (ground floor).
Entrance is free for all.
The Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) has been organizing its international conference since 1989, with an exception of 1991, when the war prevented it from taking place. Today’s Conference began as a symposium, first held between 19th and 23rd December 1989, under the title Information Systems in Office Operations. The participants presented in the field of design and development of information and intelligence systems, and information society training.
The aim of the Conference is to promote the interface of researchers involved in the development and application of methods and techniques in the field of information and intelligent systems. The scientific program includes invited lectures by eminent international experts, contributed papers, as well as events such as poster presentation, workshops, roundtable discussions, hardware and software presentations and book exhibitions. The official language of the Conference is English.
Every year, there is a different special Conference theme that aims to reflect the global trends in the field. The 2015 Conference will put special emphasis on Pervasive Computing and Internet of Things.
Since the Conference brings together authors from different parts of Croatia and abroad, it also has an important role in promoting the city and the region. The organizers therefore do their best to acquaint the participants with the opportunities to enjoy the cultural and historical heritage of Varazdin and the surrounding area during their stay, especially through additional social events, the most attractive of which is the excursion with a gala dinner party.
